Answers

How much experience will my DJ have? All Columbus Pro DJs have a minimum of 200 events performed. That translates to years and years…and years of experience!    Top

Can I meet my DJ before the event? Our fees include at least one in-person consultation with your DJ. This helps ensure that your event will run smoothly.    Top

Do you require a deposit? Yes, a non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to book a Columbus Pro DJ. The deposit is non refundable because our DJs are so popular and requested so frequently, that we often have to turn down business because the DJ in question is already requested by someone else. So if you were to cancel your event, we would still have to pay the DJ given the likely hood of re-booking him on short notice is slim.    Top

What will my DJ wear to my event? All of our DJs own black tuxedos and will wear it at your event unless you specify otherwise.    Top

When does the DJ set up? We will set up one hour prior to the scheduled start time. We recommend that the start time for the DJ be whatever time you anticipate your guests arriving at the banquet hall. You are not charged for set-up time (or tear-down).    Top

Does the DJ you take any breaks? No, the music is continuous throughout the event.    Top

Can we bring our own music? Absolutely! But please check with the office first, as we may already have the music you’re planning to bring. We might be able to save you the trouble!    Top

Can you play Ceremony music? You bet! Give us a call at our office and we can work out the specific arrangements.    Top

What if I need music played for cocktails held in a separate area? Can you do that? Sure! Give us a call and we can talk about your needs and how best to meet them.    Top

Will you make announcements? Of course – but we’ll do MUCH more than that. A Columbus Pro DJ will coordinate with you before making the announcements for your Formalities. (We have to make sure you’re ready, right? ?) Additionally, we’ll coordinate with the Banquet Staff, Professional Photographer & Professional Videographer to try to ensure that they’re informed as well!    Top

Will you control the volume? Yes! We’re happy to adjust the volume so that everybody has a comfortable listening environment. And if someone requests us to turn the volume down (or up!), we’re happy to oblige.    Top

Will you take requests? If you would like us to take requests, we would be happy to. We recommend it, as it is another too that allows us to read the crowd. (Of course if there are any songs you definitely do not want played, we will politely explain that to any guest making a request for that song)    Top

Do you have current references? Sure! Just click on the References link on the Home Page.    Top

Do you carry liability insurance? Yes! We have over $2,000,000 worth of liability insurance.    Top

Have you played at my Reception Hall before? We have played at most all of the major reception Halls throughout Columbus and beyond. Call us directly to see if we’ve been to yours!    Top

Can you assist me in planning? No Problem! It’s one of the things we’re best at. We’re experts in planning out timelines & itinerarines and – most importantly – putting the plan into action. Our job at your reception is to make sure you don’t have one!    Top

Should I tip the DJ? And if so, how much? It’s entirely up to you. A gratuity is considered customary for excellent service delivered, but we leave the decision completely in the client’s hands. As for the amount of the tip, anything in the $50 range is the norm.    Top

Do you bring back-up equipment? That and more! Not only do we bring back-up CD players, we have full-time back-up on call!    Top

Once I pay the deposit, when is the balance due? The balance is due no later than 2 weeks before the event, payable by check, money order or credit card.    Top
